Double Crippler

OK, So like millions of other people, I'm watching the Winter Olympics – the snowboarding competition – and suddenly hear the announcer exclaim the athlete performed a "Double Crippler." Did I hear that correctly? Yes indeed! Apparently in halfpipe competitions, a backflip done on the frontside wallI is called a "Crippler." This left me wondering about whether this could be considered appropriating disability culture. Your thoughts?
